Kerzner-CapitaLand, Genting Group and Eight Wonder, the three bidders that compete to build a casino on Sentosa Island, Singapore, announced this weeks their plans to spend about $3 billion in the construction of the complex.
“Since all of the stated capital investment amounts from all three bidders are generally within the same range, it now becomes a competition of which creative concept can generate the most significant incremental tourism benefit for Singapore,” Jonathan Galaviz from the consulting and research firm Globalysis Ltd., explained.
Kerzner has presented a futuristic design that portrays what the city of Atlantis would look like in the year 3000. On the other hand, the Genting Group plans to construct the world’s largest oceanarium with a water park. Eight Wonder has not unveiled its project yet.
The winner of the Sentosa Island bid will be revealed by the end of the year.
