The owners of the Greektown Casino have announced the construction of another Casino. The project is valued in $475 millions that include $275 million for the purchase of the premises and $200 million for the hotel, landscaping and casino construction. The casino will have a Mediterranean theme; it will have 2,400 slot machines and 92 table games, such as Poker, Roulette and Blackjack.
The 25,000-square-foot casino will crown the complex, which will include a hotel with a huge landscaping, a 1,500-seat theatre, restaurants, a spa and a conventions center. The hotel will be connected to the landscaping through networks of ladders and horizontal escalators to assure guest comfort.
Aaron Payment, president of the Sault St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, owners of the Greektown Casino, said he was really happy with this new project because it will generate new jobs and earnings to the Detroit city. Marvin Beatty, a local investor, declared: “This is a special day for Detroit and a historical moment for the Greektown Casino”.
