Anticipating the grand opening of Marina Bay Sands, the first casino run by the state in Singapore, the government has recently launched a new training center to prepare casino operators. The International Casino Games Training Center (ICGTC) is located in the heart of Bukit Timah’s Turf City. The students trained in this center will specialize in roulette and other table games.
The institute has been equipped with 19 tables, specially designed for card games such as baccarat and poker. The main idea was to imitate a real casino in order to provide the best training possible, according to Siva Ramachandar, Head of ICGTC.
For the time being, 30 students have already registered for the courses offered by the center. The training period consists of six months and has a cost of $4,500 dollars.
